Metal Powder for Additive Manufacturing
K. Rogers, TBGA
This two-and-a-half-hour course reviews the application requirements for metal powders and how those powders are produced. Powder production can introduce variability into the powder behavior, so we target how to characterize powders, size and blend powders and ultimately, identify what characteristics are essential items for a specification. The content targets Additive Manufacturing but is inclusive of other powder applications.

Public Input on the 2026-2030 National Strategic Plan for Advanced Manufacturing

The Subcommittee on Advanced Manufacturing (SAM) is in the process of updating the quadrennial National Strategic Plan for Advanced Manufacturing. The purpose of this roundtable event is to solicit information from the Manufacturing Conference participants regarding federal programs and activities to advance United States manufacturing competitiveness, including advanced manufacturing research and development that will create jobs, grow the economy across multiple industrial sectors, strengthen national security, and improve healthcare. Public input is also solicited through a request for information (RFI) from all interested parties to inform the development of the 2026-2030 National Strategic Plan for Advanced Manufacturing. This roundtable event will follow questions in the public RFI issued by the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.
